A flight log, kept in public.
Rha Skies is where every flight is kept: the photos, the place, the conditions on the day and the gear that flew. Alongside them are honest reviews of that gear and practical guides to flying, editing and travelling with a drone.
Who's flying
I'm a web developer and a drone pilot, and this site is both: I fly the flights, take the photos, write the reviews and build the pages they live on.
I travel a lot, so there's no home country in the name. The site goes where the drone goes, and every flight says exactly which part of the world it's from.
How this site works
Every flight is logged
Each flight carries the place, the date, the conditions on the day and the gear that flew it, linked to that gear's own page. Upgrading a drone never rewrites the flights it shot.
See the flightsReviews say where the gear came from
Bought, borrowed, gifted or loaned: every review says which, whether it has affiliate links, and when the gear was tested. Gear in the same category is scored on the same criteria.
How gear is testedNobody's home is pinned on a map
Flights over private land are only ever shown to about a kilometre, never the exact spot, and location data is stripped from every photo before it's published.
Open the mapThe rules are checked where I fly
Drone rules differ from country to country and change often, so I check the local authority's own rules wherever I fly. The guides explain how to find them, not what they say.
